Ravenshoe

The Ravenshoe sits on the beach with stupendous views, homey enough for two and large enough for six or more. Magnificent wide cedar and spruce boards make each wall a piece of art — all beach-combed and locally milled. A ship’s ladder leads to the second floor that has a stunning panorama ocean view.

Sleep to the sound of the ocean beneath a cedar beamed ceiling, or watch the stars through the skylight. It is off-grid (no power), with solar powered lamps, lanterns, BBQ, propane range, and a stainless steel sink with cold running water. Drinking water is supplied as well as bedding, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery. The Ravenshoe is heated with a glass fronted woodstove. Firewood and a splitting maul are there for your use. It’s a perfect getaway with ocean surf, and a sandy beach longer than the eye can see. Guests love the composting toilet which is easily accessible through the covered back porch which also contains an enclosed hot on-demand, propane heated, shower.
